The Artist     Sara Sand is a performing artist and filmmaker. As an actress she is involved in live and studio productions for the stage, cinema, and broadcasting. As a singer she particularly works with musicians in the fields of jazz and dance music. She is trained in acting, singing and dance; and studied audio-visual expression with a focus on cinema. Since graduating from UdK Berlin (Berlin University of the Arts, Germany) she has been developing her own short film productions. Her motivation to make films has its foundation in the medium's possibility of representing and communicating contents in the most appropriate form. She derives her themes from impressions of everyday life and her interest in art and interdisciplinary research. A selection of her productions can be found under FILMS.
